WCK's Response to Flooding in California (Dec. 2025)
by WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN INCORPORATEDWorld Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is on the ground in California, providing meals after heavy rains triggered major flooding in San Bernardino County. Working alongside local restaurant partners, teams are serving hot meals to families in the mountain communities of Wrightwood and Lytle Creek.
Severe storms swept across the U.S. West Coast beginning midweek and continuing through the Christmas holiday, causing destructive flooding and damage to homes and businesses. Mandatory evacuations remain in effect for several mountain towns—many still recovering from historic wildfires earlier this year. As residents wait for conditions to improve, World Central Kitchen is ensuring families have the meals they need.
WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need.
By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters quickly and effectively. We know that good food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis.
With over 600 million meals served globally, WCK continues to bring relief, one plate at a time. Your donation today fuels this mission—helping us reach more people, faster, when they need it most.
