WCK's Response to Spain Wildfires (July 2025)
WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN INCORPORATEDWorld Central Kitchen’s Relief Team was on the ground in Spain, where wildfires in the Ávila region caused destruction and forced families out of their homes. Thousands of first responders worked to contain the blazes. This came during a time of increasingly severe wildfires across the world as weather patterns become more and more extreme.
WCK’s food truck was up and running serving over 3,500 meals to firefighters and first responders. In partnership with local restaurant La Comanda de Vico, we made sure firefighters got a hot meal to fuel their efforts.
WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.
