WCK's Response to an Earthquake in Panama (Oct. 2026)

WCK is responding in Panama, where a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the Pacific Coast on Friday. Hundreds of aftershocks then caused further damage to homes, buildings, and roadways. The earthquake triggered tsunami warnings, and the Panamanian government issued a state of emergency. Our local partners are serving meals to community members impacted by damaged infrastructure and decreased access to food.

WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need.

By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters quickly and effectively. We know that good food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis.

With over 880 million meals served globally, WCK continues to bring relief, one plate at a time. Your donation today fuels this mission—helping us reach more people, faster, when they need it most.
